‘‘Wonderful experience -- yes, at the dentist office. Dr. Hakimi is very down to earth, she spends time explaining everything that her office can do for you. The dental hygienist Lori was wonderful, made me feel relaxed during a very long deep cleaning. Dr. Hakimi and her team of ladies were professional and made you feel as relaxed as you could be in a dentist's chair.‘‘

Just need a light level of sedation to calm your nerves? Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, could be a great solution! You'll breathe it in via a comfortable mask during your procedure. Nitrous oxide leaves you feeling completely relaxed, while still being awake and aware of your surroundings. Many people love this option because it has no side effects, and you can drive yourself home immediately after.
If you need a higher level of sedation than nitrous oxide, oral sedation offers a deeper state of relaxation while still being conscious. You'll have less awareness of your surroundings, and time will fly by. Oral sedatives are either swallowed whole in pill form or can be dissolved under the tongue. Both methods work in a matter of minutes. With this level of sedation, we recommend having someone to drive you home afterward.
For more intense procedures or those with severe dental fear, you may prefer to be unconscious. Dr. Hakimi is certified and highly experienced at administering IV sedation, which will put you completely to sleep during your entire procedure. You'll wake up after with no memory of the visit. This allows you to get the treatment you need while avoiding the pain and fear.
