Biography
Nicky M. Hakimi, D.D.S, M.S.D. is a periodontal (gum) and dental implant specialist providing care for the Roseville and the Sacramento Metropolitan area.
Nicky M. Hakimi, D.D.S., M.S.D., became intrigued with dentistry as a young child, while undergoing reconstructive treatment. This experience is the foundation for her belief that a personal bond with her patients provides a better understanding of their needs. Her fluent French, Spanish, English and Farsi, allow her to provide quality care to a diverse group of patients.
Sacramento Periodontist Dr. Hakimi received dual degrees from the University of California, Davis and went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California. Dr. Hakimi completed her residency program in periodontics at the University of Kentucky, where she obtained her master's degree. She has received numerous awards for her outstanding achievements in periodontology, as well as her Masters' thesis research regarding periodontal chemotherapy.
Sacramento Periodontist Dr. Hakimi is one of only a handful of dentists who have completed the oral implantology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry. Through this one-of-a-kind program she obtained extensive, comprehensive surgical and prosthetic training in all aspects of implant dentistry.
She incorporates innovative technology, such as computerized imaging, to accurately diagnose each patient's treatment needs. Her use of advanced techniques, ranging from plastic surgery to dental implants, enables her to restore her patients' beautiful smiles and function.
Sacramento Periodontist Dr. Hakimi is extensively involved in the dental community. She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Sacramento District Dental Society, American Academy of Periodontology, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Hakimi is also a Fellow Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and provides continuing education courses for the dental community at large. She has lectured on implant dentistry for various university post-graduate programs, and has been chairman of the second largest continuing education convention in California.
In addition to Dr. Hakimi's strong commitment to her patients and periodontology, she enjoys spending time with her family, and an active lifestyle that includes skiing, biking, running and traveling.
