Meet Dr. Vasanthan

Dr. Ash Vasanthan brings his outstanding education and training to the residents of Roseville, CA. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He is also an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has served as a full time faculty at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, teaching periodontics and serving as the director of the implantology course for 5 years. He continues to serve as a visiting assistant professor at UMKC in the Department of Periodontics.

This kind of pursuit of excellence deserves to be recognized and Dr. Vasanthan has been the recipient of some prestigious awards. Outstanding Teacher Award from UMKC School of Dentistry in 2009, the David Moore- Faculty Award from UMKC School of Dentistry 2008 and the Billy Pennel Research Award from the Southern Academy of Periodontology for Meritorious Research Project in 2004.

Dr. Vasanthan has published several articles in professional peer reviewed journals and continues to work on advancing the practice of evidence based dentistry. He is an invited speaker to the American Academy of Periodontology and speaks regularly at national and international meetings. He also works on the Sacramento District Dental Society in the editorial board.

Not surprisingly for a man so committed to dentistry, Dr. Vasanthan's wife is also a dentist. He enjoys playing with his 2 children and also playing tennis and racquetball
