Meet Dr. Townsend

Bradley L. Townsend, DDS, MS offers a wealth of knowledge and clinical experience in the field of Periodontal and Implant treatment.

Dr. Townsend graduated Suma Cumlude from the University of Northern Iowa with a Major in Biology and Minor in Chemistry in 1976. He graduated ranking #1 in his Dental class at the University Of Iowa College Of Dentistry in 1980. He then proceeded on to specialty training at the University of Iowa gaining a Certificate in Periodontology in 1982 and being awarded the Top Resident Award for outstanding achievement in that field. Dr. Townsend received his Masters of Science degree in Periodontology later that same year, graduating with highest honors.

Dr. Townsend entered into practice in his home town of Waterloo, Iowa in 1982. He practiced there for 25 years, providing Waterloo with excellent periodontal and implant care. He also taught at the University of Iowa, Dental School, which allowed him to stay closely connected with the ever changing practice of dentistry.

Dr. Townsend had been serving his local dental community through his dental society as well as lecturing state wide in all areas of periodontal and implant therapy.

He joined Dr. Nicky Hakimi in 2007. Her Periodontal and Implant Group practice was exactly what Dr. Townsend was looking for, a practice providing compassionate, top quality periodontal services.

He and his wife Lorraine, his high school sweetheart,  enjoy working and living in the beautiful surroundings of Northern California.
